MONTICELLO, Ark. — Ten students from the College of Forestry, Agriculture and Natural Resources (CFANR) at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) were recently recognized for their academic accomplishments during the 2025-2026 academic year.

Recipients of the outstanding student awards are nominated and selected by faculty based on their academic achievements and their collegiality with faculty and peers.

Julia Ryan, from Stuttgart, Arkansas, won Outstanding Plant and Soil Science Student.
Dr. Michael Blazier, dean of CFANR, congratulated the students, stating, “One of our greatest pleasures is taking a moment at the end of the academic year to honor the hard work our students put into their studies, club activities and more. Seeing how this year’s outstanding students hail from around the state and beyond highlights how our college is a great place to get a solid start on a wide array of outdoor-related degrees, and it’s our privilege to have such students.”
