Thirteen DeWitt Elementary artists recognized

Thirteen DeWitt Elementary artists were recognized at the Arkansas Art Educators Eastern Regional Art Show on April 28, 2026.

Winners are Kaizley Travis, first place, kindergarten; Martinez Graydon, first place, first grade; Saylor Chappell, second place, first grade; Emery Lawson, third place, first grade; Angela Castro-Luque, first place, second grade; Christianna Bennett, first place, third grade; Bennett Carr, second place, third grade; Macie Adams, first place, fourth grade; Miles Hill, second place, fourth grade; Ava Watson, third place, fourth grade; Kayci Gomez, first place, fifth grade; Luke England, second place, fifth grade; and Allison Jeffery, third place, fifth grade.

Student work selected for “Best of Show” (first place recipients) will be placed into the 2026 State Youth Art Show in Little Rock June 13 through August 22, 2026, at the HIllary Rodham Clinton Children’s Library.  

This year’s DeWitt Elementary artwork featured Arkansas County landscapes, agricultural equipment, wildlife, and citizens.  Students explored places they know and self-identity through their artwork.
