Dawn’s Delights
OK ya’ll I am so all over the place right now, I can’t stand myself! The life of a small town newspaper editor! I have not had a weekend off in five weeks (not always because of work tho) and haven’t gotten home until at least 8:30 every night. Perfect example-my grandson had an all day tournament in Conway on Saturday and then my granddaughter had dance competition in Hot Springs on Sunday. If it isn’t work related it is grandchild related. There have been events with schools almost every night. I attend and take pictures then have to write about each event. But there is not enough time in the day to do it all.
Having said all that, I did something special this weekend. Several years ago, when I was in Heber Springs, I got a tattoo on my right shoulder area on my back and had Holden’s Yeah Yeah put there. As you know I have a granddaughter who once she learned to read her name, began asking why her name wasn’t on there. She can not say that anymore! I had Hattie Jo with a heart put on it above Holden’s. I had it done at a shop in Conway named the Rusty Needle (I know I freaked out over the name too) by an artist named Adrian. He did a fantastic job and I have never seen a cleaner place in my life! Shockingly, it didn’t really hurt either. So big shout out to Adrian for great work! I am already thinking about getting another one…which, considering it took me seven years to do this one, is amazing.
DeWitt graduated last Friday and Stuttgart will this Friday. I will be so happy when all of it is over! I don’t even have kids in school and I can’t imagine what parents who have kids in school are dealing with! You have my sympathy!
Until next time…
A healthy Arkansas County requires great community news.
